On behalf of all grassroots football across the county, Essex FA has joined the nation in offering our deepest condolences following the sad passing of HM The Queen.

The FA have provided a statement relating to their position for the weekend of 9th to 11th September 2022, which can be found here.

In line with The FA statement, Essex County FA wish to confirm no matches, including non-competitive or friendly fixtures, are to be played over this weekend. As a mark of respect, the Essex County FA will be postponing all ECFA activities scheduled for this weekend.

We have received numerous queries regarding training activity. It is recognised Clubs may still wish to run training sessions for individual teams and/or players, to support their membership through this difficult time. This is at the discretion of individual Clubs to meet their individual needs.

Our thoughts remain with the whole Royal Family during this time.
