Active Essex Set ‘3030’ Fitness Challenge During June
Are you ready to join the 3030 Essex challenge? Active Essex are asking everyone in the county to commit to 30 minutes of daily activity during June… and it’s never to late to get started!
The successful campaign is back this year as the organisation continue to dedicate the month to moving, providing resource packs which can be downloaded so Essex residents get their trainers back out. Active Essex want to use June as the motivation to get up and move around more, get steps up, try an online workout or dust off the bike and head out for a cycle.
Recent lifestyles may have made people more sedentary and less mobile, or less motivated due to being at home more than usual. Active Essex have some great ideas and they want individuals and families to join the journey with them. There are no challenges to complete, no distances to run and no targets to beat - just 30 minutes of movement.
They also intend to ‘Keep Essex Active’ with a new campaign launched on their website recently which is designed to keep the local population healthy and moving during the current restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The initiative is signposting Essex residents to a number of activities they can get involved with during these challenging times.
They range from resources and ideas to videos and online workouts on a new ‘Keep Essex Active’ YouTube channel, showcasing local instructors who have tailored routines for all audiences, from family to over-65s workouts. There’s a live stream timetable and something new to do each day from the comfort of viewers’ own homes.
Head over to www.3030essex.com and get involved! The new video features can be found at www.activeessex.org/keep-essex-active. This week's live timetable is also available at www.activeessex.org/keep-essex-active-youtube.
