Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include the strategic development of football opportunities across all forms and formats of the game in the local authorities of Basildon, Castle Point, Rochford, Southend and Thurrock. These include mini-soccer, youth, adult, male, female, disability and Futsal. They’ll ensure links are in place between affiliated and recreational pathways as well as developing strong relationships with clubs and leagues.

Any potential applicants should be aware that this is not a coaching role, and employment is on a full time contract until 30th June 2019. The post-holder will be responsible for implementing elements of the FA National Game Strategy, based at the Association’s Chelmsford Office. The new employee will join a highly-regarded Development Team reporting to the County Development Manager.

When identifying a suitable individual for the position, the Essex County FA will look for a university graduate (or similar) who is able to demonstrate knowledge of the FA National Game Strategy and be able to communicate with a wide range of partners. Other requirements are at least two years of experience of working within sports development and an ability to plan, deliver and evaluate programmes.
