Essex Schools FA Trial Dates Confirmed

The Essex County Schools FA run seven representative teams: Boys Under 18s (A and B), Under 16s, Under 15s and Under 14s, as well as Girls Under 16s and Under 14s. All the sides currently participate in the South-East England Schools Football Association (SEESFA) competition against squads representing counties including Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Norfolk, Suffolk, Surrey and Sussex.
Each age group (with the exception of the Boys Under 15s) also compete in the English Schools Inter-County Trophy and the 2016/17 season brought national success for the Under 18s, who defeated Durham at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry to lift the trophy. Former England internationals Beckham, Adams and Terry are amongst a number of names to have enjoyed a career in the top echelons of the game having represented Essex Schools during their youth upbringing, with the promise of many more in the future.
An initial trial stage has been set-up for three male age groups, with the female teams’ trials imminent. The names of the players who are successful in making final trials will be published in the ‘Competitions’ section above. Dates have been arranged as follows:
Under 14s Boys
These will take place on Saturday 30th September for boys attending schools in the London Boroughs, held at the London Playing Fields Society Ground, Forest Road, Fairlop, Essex, IG6 3HJ from 8:30-11:30am. For boys attending schools in Outer Essex, trials will take place on Saturday 7th October at the London Playing Fields Society Ground, Fairlop from 8:30-11:30am.
Players selected will be invited to a final trial which will take place on Saturday 21st October from 8:30-11:30am at the London Playing Fields Society Ground, Fairlop. Nomination forms should be sent to Mr M Double, Sanders Draper School, Suttons Lane, Hornchurch, Essex, RM12 6RT or E-Mailed to mattdoubleessex@aol.co.uk.
Under 15s Boys
These will take place on Monday 23rd October (half term) for boys in Outer Essex at the London Playing Fields Society Ground, Forest Road, Fairlop, Essex, IG6 3HJ from 9:30am-12:00pm. For boys attending schools in the London Boroughs and Harlow & West Essex, trials will take place on Tuesday 24th October (half term) at the London Playing Fields Society Ground, Forest Road, Fairlop, IG6 3HJ from 9:30am-12:00pm.
Nomination forms should be sent to Mr D Agass MBE, 146 Landseer Avenue, Manor Park, London, E12 6HR or E-Mailed to dagass@mca.mossbourne.org. Players selected will be invited to a final trial which will take place on Friday 27th October (half term) at 9:30am at the London Playing Fields Society Ground, Fairlop.
Under 16s Boys
These will take place on Saturday 23rd September for boys in all areas of Essex held at the London Playing Fields Society Ground, Forest Road, Fairlop, Essex, IG6 3HJ from 9:00am-12:00pm. Players selected will be invited to a final trial which will take place on Sunday 1st October at Chigwell School (IG7 6QF).
Players from last year's squad are not required to attend the first trial but will attend the final trial match on Sunday 1st October at Chigwell School.
