Tags to Host Barking in BBC Essex Women’s Cup Semis
Holders Hashtag United will have one eye on a place in the 2024/25 final when they host Barking following the draw for the Semi-Finals of the BBC Essex Women’s Cup, which was broadcast by the competition’s supporters on Friday (24th April).
The Tags, who defeated Hashtag United Reserves in the last eight, now welcome Barking of the London & South-East Regional Women’s League after their 8-0 victory at Lawford. Meanwhile, Chelmsford City, comfortable 6-2 winners at home to She Can Play Panthers in the quarters, will entertain last season’s runners-up, Billericay Town, 4-0 victors at Bowers & Pitsea.
The competition is now down to just four clubs, who are competing for a place in the final at Colchester United FC’s JobServe Community Stadium on Thursday 10th April. Two guests assisted with the draw proceedings. Mark Wallis, from the Essex County FA’s Competitions Department, drew the home clubs, while BBC Essex’s Victoria Polley was responsible for the away teams.
Those semi-final matches are due to take place on Sunday 16th February. All the BBC Essex Women’s Cup information you need to know can be found in the competitions menu above and on our social media channels, which is where you can learn more about the coach and referee workshops at this year’s Senior Cup Final.
