BBC Essex Share Saturday Premier Cup Semi-Final Draw
Takeley Reserves, who have nine league wins from nine games, now know Corinthians stand in the way of a showpiece cup final after the draw for the Semi-Finals of the BBC Essex Saturday Premier Cup was broadcast by the competition’s supporters on Friday (14th February).
Corinthians, 3-0 home winners against May & Baker Eastbrook Community ‘A’, will entertain Essex Senior League North Division challengers Takeley, who needed penalties to emerge past Catholic United Reserves after extra time last time out. The remaining clubs will be aiming to keep their diaries free for Wednesday 16th April, when they hope to be at Billericay Town FC’s New Lodge to take part in the 2025 final.
In the other semi-final, ProKit UK Essex Olympian League Premier Division leaders, Old Southendian, face a trip to either Harold Hill or Sungate. Those two clubs are playing their Quarter-Final match on Saturday (15th February) to determine the hosts for table toppers Southendian, who recorded a 4-2 home victory over Frenford [Development] in the Quarter-Finals.
Two guests helped with the draw for the final four. Josh Owootomo from the Essex County FA drew out the home clubs, whilst BBC Essex’s Victoria Polley was responsible for the away teams.
