Senior Cup Semi-Final Draw

BBC Essex Senior Cup Semi-Final Draw Revealed

Remaining Clubs Edge Closer to Prestige County Final

Brightlingsea Regent or Canvey Island will host Chelmsford City and Heybridge Swifts will entertain Hornchurch following the draw for the Semi-Finals of the BBC Essex Senior Cup, which was broadcast by the competition’s supporters on Friday 20th December.

There are just five clubs left in the competition, who know they’re now within touching distance of this season’s final at Colchester United FC’s JobServe Community Stadium on Tuesday 18th March. The draw moves the participants a step closer to potential 2024/25 silverware.

Either Brightlingsea or Canvey will meet Chelmsford, who were 3-1 quarter-final winners away at Waltham Abbey. Meanwhile, Heybridge, 1-0 home victors over Tilbury in the last eight, now face Hornchurch, who returned from Hashtag United with a 4-2 victory.

There were two guests to assist with the draw proceedings. Warren Muggleton from BBC Essex drew out the home clubs, while Mark Wallis of the Essex County FA’s Cups & Competitions Department was responsible for the away sides.

Those ties will take place during the week beginning 16th January. All the BBC Essex Senior Cup information you need to know can be found here or on our social media accounts, where you can also discover how to nominate someone for a Long Service Award.
