Girls Player Development Centre Update

In 2016, the FA grant which supported the PDC was cut and the programme needed to become self-sufficient. With this in mind, the County FA have been working hard to establish a partnership with a local provider, and are pleased to develop the partnership with She Can Play UK. Under 10s (school years four and five) can now be accommodated, as can Under 12s (years six and seven), Under 14s (years eight and nine) and Under 16s (years ten and eleven).
Football Development Officer, Emma Burden, commented: “We are confident a quality programme will continue to be delivered and the strong links with our Girls Regional Talent Club in Colchester will continue. This will enable players to access the opportunity for girls to be seen by RTC Coaches and attend an open training session with the programme.”
